On the 5th of April 2018 Hellopaisa joined their very first J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. The 5.6km night race took place at the Wanderer’s Stadium in Johannesburg where 50 Hello legends took it upon themselves to take part in this challenge.
The day started off raining cats and dogs, making the mood a bit gloomy, but once everyone arrived at the Wanderers Stadium the excitement slowly returned as we all got some coffee and hot chocolate (some people needed something a little stronger) and made our way to the tent.
Our Hellopaisa tent was packed. We all wore our white branded T-shirts with black Hellopaisa caps, so of course the race couldn’t start without a bunch of crazy group photos! We couldn’t wait to get the race started!
And finally, we were off! The race started slowly at first, but we motivated each other with some “Hellopaisa” chanting and ran or walked together for support. It was really fun, and while we had some serious runners out there, the rest of us can at least say that we made it, got some awesome goodies and medals, and learned how to push our own limits!
And there was no better way to end off the night than to join the crowd at the main stage after the race to watch Sketchy Bongo and Kaien Cruz performing live! We formed our own dancing circle and soon enough every Hello citizen was dancing some way or another. Who said good music can’t cure tired muscles!
